Frequently asked questions

Important information about requests, bookings, payment, cancellation, and early access.

Safety note: Habesha Home does not process payments inside the app during early access. Please confirm the host, property, dates, total price, and cancellation terms before sending payment.

1How does booking work now?

For now, Habesha Home uses a request-first booking system. Guests send a stay request with their dates and guest count. The host reviews the request and accepts or declines it. Once accepted, the guest and host can confirm the final details directly.

2How does payment work now?

At this early access stage, payment is not processed inside Habesha Home. Guests and hosts arrange payment directly after the host accepts the stay request. We recommend confirming the property, dates, total price, and cancellation terms before sending any payment.

3Should guests pay before arrival?

We recommend caution. Guests should not send full payment before confirming the host, property details, and stay dates. If a deposit is requested, guests should clearly agree with the host about the amount, refund policy, and check-in details.

4What happens if a guest requests a stay but does not show up?

For now, hosts should confirm the guest directly before holding the room for a long time. If the guest does not respond or does not show up, the host may cancel the booking in Habesha Home and make the unit available again.

5What happens if the host waits too long?

Hosts should not hold a room indefinitely without guest confirmation. If the guest does not confirm within a reasonable time, the host can cancel the booking and release the dates.

6What is the cancellation policy?

For now, cancellation terms are agreed directly between the guest and host. Before payment or check-in, both sides should clearly agree on whether any deposit is refundable and how much notice is needed to cancel.

7Will Habesha Home add in-app payment later?

Yes. We plan to add secure in-app payment later. The goal is for guests to pay through Habesha Home, and for payment to be released to the host after check-in or after the stay is confirmed. Until then, payments are handled directly between guest and host.
